It is known that in every literature of the same period there can be usually distinguished two types of characters: one that is compatible with it, i.e. adapted, and another in disagreement with it, i.e. misfit. A particularly interesting character for the evolution of literature, but most often inconvenient for the authorities of the time, the misfit was not once neglected. He was not brought in discussions, he was willingly treated wrongly, and he was falsely used for convenient conclusions. The literary Bessarabian process after the Second World War is an illustrative example in this regard. This issue demonstrates that in a totalitarian society the writer himself when honest is a misfit, that the socialist-realist method, which he was forced to follow, has totally revealed its falsehood. The poet was forced to seek for other literary trends – Romanticism and semanatorism, this way discovering new perspectives for his affirmation. |
