OSCE being a tool for conflict prevention and early warning, crisis management and post-conflict situations plays a direct role in maintaining security on the European continent.
The problem of organizations ethos represents a process of changing of variety of its specific features and fundamental principles on which basis its action on prevention of conflicts and regulation of crises of the post disputed maintenance have been developed. We should notice that organization, being a flexible Euroatlantic and at the same time Asian structure operating both on interstate, regional and local levels in achieving the mentioned actions is based on the principle of cooperation. First, the analysis of organization ethos is reconsiders the concept of security, to which the OSCE is joined, as well as the characteristics that define the actions of the organization. The analysis is based on the constitutive documents of the organization, supported by empirical data correlated with the actions of the OSCE. Second, the article explores the principles that guide the organization in its actions to conflict prevention and crisis management, stressing the key points, features and advantages of the approach which are under the mandate of the OSCE. In conclusion, the analysis of the ethos of the OSCE assesses the contribution of the dynamics of conflict prevention and post-crisis management in the context of international security.
