Securities are traditional object of know-haw on financial market nowadays. Recent innovations on securities market are hybrid securities, which are considered to be a success in the field of financial innovations. This article is presenting the general concept, the main creation methods of hybrid securities, the principals of issuing the hybrid securities, as well as the advantages of including the hybrid securities in the portfolio. The objective of the article is to present the lessons learned from international experience and underline the importance and the impact of hybrid securities on the development of securities market in the Republic of Moldova.
