Rezumat

Despite a considerable progress in the recent years, the Republic of Moldova still faces a great discrepancy in competitiveness both at the European and world level. Simultaneously, new processes and phenomena that interact both at the level of national and world economies such as business internationalization and globalization, unprecedentedly stiff requirements and pressures of competition on national and international markets, intensified dynamism of the business environment, rapid and frequent changes of consumers’ attitude, and others assign a very important role to this problem.We require a functional market economy, which can face new pressures of competition, in a new competitive market with different dimensions, but patterns of specialization in the economy must include the distribution of the labour force by sectors and products with a higher added value.
