Rezumat

According to the data adduced, anthroponyms such as both Rom. Lazu and. Alb. Llaz come from Turk. laz, and Alb. Allamani is the former Turk. alaman, alman, while the origin of Rom. măngălescu and muscan, muscu is also transparent (cf. resp. mongol and moscal). However, contrary to the existing opinion and unlike many urs based toponyms, Rom. Orşova does not come from Rom. urs (< Lat. ursus), but continues a borrowed i.-e. etymon of Slavic (once identified by V. I. Abaev), later resplaced there by a taboo, originally meaning „honey eater”.
