The need for a managerial philosophy originates in the very process of development and
evolution of business. In the field of the managerial practice, the companies’ philosophical views of international engagement crosses several stages, whose characteristics will be presented in this study. Starting from the instructive role of the managerial philosophy, toward the end of the study an analysis is made of the way in which the managerial philosophy helps develop the organizational culture and ensure a privileged position on the international market. The exemplification is achieved through the analysis of the philosophical conception of two successful international companies: Lincoln Electric and People Express.
