Rezumat

Although lately, economic approaches include the natural environment as an integral part of economic system and it uses various planning techniques and strategies for the protection and preservation, however negative effects on the environment requires a new conception of economic development. This new approach called “sustainable development” or “sustainability” become a paradigm of the 21st century and includes all forms of development, being involved a wide range of organizations and individuals interested in environmental policy, with efforts at all levels. Sustainable development it is a concept which has become increasingly used in the last period, capturing people’s attention and interest; it is a process which involves environmental protection, support a less destructive industrialization and economic development without taking the resources which should also benefit future generations. The sustainable development approach is not a simple approach to environmental protection. Contrary, the sustainable development represent a new concept of economic growth, one who makes moderation and equity, without destroying nature and without compromising the ability to support the future generations.
