The authors show the means of practical implementation of ABC logistic method, choosing as object of research the cooperative Coopconsum from Glodeni region, Moldova. In consideration of this, the authors have grouped all provisions according to the share of each product in total sales amount, then made a list of products in their order and calculated the cumulated share in the number of products and sales amount. At the same time the authors consider that optimization of product range for retail chain according to “revenue from sales” criteria is not enough. The authors suggest that other criteria should be taken into account also: contribution of product in creation of buyer’s flow, product profitability, level of costs per unit of product, contribution of product in attracting the buyer’s flow.
