Chipul pozitiv al eroului naţional, prezentat ca un ideal estetic al poporului, este investigat în baza studiului diverselor tipuri de poveşti: de vitejie, magice propriu-zise şi de moravuri. S-a stabilit că chipul eroului principal evoluiază concomitent cu dezvoltarea tradiţiei narativ-culturale– de la eroul-viteaz, salvator şi apărător, la cel şmecher şi viclean. Paralel cu aceste chipuri, în folclorul prozaic se întâlneşte tipul eroului-victimă. În general, chipul eroului principal în tradiţia narativă a găgăuzilor este înzestrat cu acele calităţi fizice şi morale, care în viziunea poporului sunt cele mai valoroase.

На материале разновидностей народной прозы (богатырская, собственно волшебная и бытовая/новеллистическая сказка), бытующих у гагаузов Бессарабии, рассматривается положительный образ героя, представляющего собой эстетический идеал народа. В соответствии с развитием нарративно-культурной традиции эволюционируети образ главного героя – от героя-богатыря, спасителя и защитника рода, к герою-хитрецу. Отдельно от этих типов народного героя в прозаическом фольклоре гагаузов представлен герой-жертва или так называемый «невинно гонимый». В целом образ народного героя в нарративной традиции гагаузов наделяется идеальными физическими и морально-нравственными качествами, составляющими в глазах народа наивысшую ценность в человеке.

Basing on the material of different kinds of folk prose (tales about warriors, fairy tales and short stories of everyday life) existing among the Gagauzians in Bessarabia, a positive image of a hero representing the aesthetic ideal of the people is considered. The image of a protagonist evolves in accordance with the development of the narrative cultural tradition: from a hero-warrior, savior and the defender of the kin to a hero-trickster. Apart from these types of folk heroes there is a hero-victim in the prosaic folklore of the Gagauzians. In general, the image of a folk hero in the narrative tradition of the Gagauzians is endowed with perfect physical and moral qualities the people consider to be the highest human values.
