Rezumat | ||||||
Pavel Rivilis is the most important and well respected composer in Republic of Moldova. In the 20th and 21st
centuries, famous composers like D. Shostakovich, A. Schnittke, S. Prokofiev, B. Britten, I. Stravinsky and others
wrote neoclassical music. However, in his early years, Pavel Rivilis didn’t have his own musical style, instead he used Baroque and other classical elements in some of his pieces.He also used polyphonic elements in Symphony N.1, Sonata for viola, Symphony N.2 as well as elements that were characteristic for classicism – traditional Sonata - Allegro form in Symphony N.1 and Symphony N.2. In his early years, Pavel Rivilis didn’t present his own style; instead he searched and used the most important classical elements in composition. His pieces were written very well and show a high level of understanding while using all of what he learned through his life. |
