Orice domeniu şii orice arie tematică, lingvistică sau culturală este susceptibilă în contemporaneitate mai mult ca oricând de interdependenţă. Problemele ce ţin de personalitate, identitate, ipseitate, eu, „mine”, conceptul de „sine”, căutarea Sinelui şi altele implică un studiu al mai multor discipline conexe : filosofie, metapsihologie, antropologie, literatură etc. Articolul tratează sineitatea proiectată prin conceptul de Sine în aria interdisciplinară filosofiemetapsihologie-literatură, din perspectivă analitică. Abordarea prezentă a conceptului filosofic Sine este ancorată în triada âtman-sine-eu, analizată diacronic, cantrastiv şi sintetic în filosofia orientală indiană, în maieutica socratică, în psihologia jungiană şi teoretizarile aferente ca preambul la o potenţială perspectivă literară asupra conceptului de Sine.

The present article tackles the concept of the Self in a brief comparative study. Issues concerning the personality, the identity, the concept of the Self, the quest the Self involve a transdisciplinary study of related areas: philosophy, metapsychology, depth psychology, anthropology, literature, etc. The article deals with the philosophical concept of the Self from an interdisciplinary perspective: metapsychology-philosophy-literature. It analyses the etymology and genesis of the concept of the Self rooted in the philosophical topic of the Âtman and enlists some exegetical elements of taxonomical analysis. This approach highlights diachronically the fusion of the Eastern Indian philosophy on the Self (Âtman) and the Socratic Method – the method of maieutics (Know thysel) – into the Jungian psychology (the depth psychology); it is aiming, in fact, at a preamble to a literary perspective on the concept of the Self.
