The article evokes the work of Grigore Vieru known by everyone, but especially appreciated after his tragic disappearance. The poet campaigned for truth, a truth of all the people who wants our spiritual reunification, the restoration of civic and Romanian consciousness. His poetry meets the qualities of a complex poetic world. The central place is awarded by the contemporary man with his whole range of feelings and thoughts. The author characterizes Grigore Vieru as an upset whose works occupy a distinct place in the existence of the Romanian poetry, a happy poet grieved because the children’s joy is still threatened the joy of their own identity’s regain. This is the misfortune of our people.
