The traditional imperial policy was based on a totalitarian political system and ideology that had the cult of violence. The first „live” events of this long and dramatic process of
falsification of history and denationalization of Bessarabia were seen by a child who was then, in 1940, Paul Goma in the novel „From the Corridor”. We can conclude that this novel anticipated the communist ideology and cultural policy which was promoted by the Soviet government on the former Romanian territory during half of a century with consistency and tenacity of truly totalitarian nature. Through communism and Sovietization they wanted to create in the Eastern Europe a world of amnesia and imbecility. And in a way they succeeded. |
