For the seventh monographic campaign from the summer of 1931 in Bessarabia was elected village Cornova, Orhei district, an old place, located near a monastery with villagers who called one another captain. Monographists drew up a regulation book that contains the obligations and rights of intellectual co-ownership as a collective work. The sociological research was also performed by the professor Petre V.Stefanuca who later became a leading representative of the school of monographic research of villages. He was also a director (during 1934-1939) of the Social Romanian Institute in the region of Bessarabia. In the Cornova village Petre V.Stefanuca investigated the process of urbanization, traditional forms of material and spiritual culture, economic activity, modern changes in the life of the village.
