Rezumat

Modern Romanian literature comes with a new genre of prose in which the narration as well as the characters is out of the author’s narrative dictatorship. In addition, new narrative techniques and tools appear, as well as the new type of characters – antiheroes – who are ,,neither positive, nor negative”, and presents a new page in the history of literature. Modern Romanian writers as N. Breban, A. Busuioc, V. Iovita, D. Tepeneag, V. Vasilache, D. R. Popescu, S. Saka, S. Titel, V. Besleaga, V. Horia, P. Goma, Gh. Schwartz, Al. Ivasiuc, V. Garneţ, S. Bastovoi, Iul. Ciocan, V. Ernu, D. Lungu, Al. Vakulovski etc. present novels which spotlight antiheroes. Those antiheroes manifest themselves in different ways and can be unadaptable, odd, erratical, fortuneless, defeated, weird, etc. And these masks are opposed to the utopia of the real world and are the reflection of the terrifying and grotesque reality.
