In the present article there are highlighted artistic meanings of the wedding-death metaphor that has its origin in the substratum of folk creativity and is manifested through
deepening of some ontological issues with openness to mythical archetypes. The allegory wedding-death has its orientation towards a specific existential universe. It represents a nucleus of several folk writings that vary from doina to ballad, lyrical song, heroic epos. It expresses the treasure of Romanian thought, the popular thinking, the concept of permanence of its original myth, of perpetuation and viability of local tradition. |
