The article is a concrete and detailed presentation of the book Nicolae Esinencu. A Performance of a Literary Work. The latter is composed with great competence and safe guess of the uniqueness of the poet, prose writer and playwright Esinencu made by the literary critic Vitalie Raileanu. Through a series of deep analyses signed by Ion Rotaru, Vlad Paslaru, Catinca Agache, George Chira, the academicians Mihail Dolgan and Mihai Cimpoi as well as by other researchers of Esinencu’s creation, the composer of the book managed to render a true and complete picture of the Esinencu phenomenon, without the latter today the Romanian literature from Bessarabia is inconceivable. It would be enough to give the title of a famous comedy written by the author: Have you heard, did the Russians leave?
