If „Agreeing with the devil” is the story, almost a report, of the moral and psychological violation to which is submitted by the repressive organs the newly repatriated Mihai Olteanu, torment aimed at his total „framing” in the totalitarian Soviet system that was fully established in Bessarabia, then „Tell me Gioni!” is a story of an active and convinced member of these bodies, a zomby of communist ideology and practice, one who truthfully served the system, after all becoming part of its disgusting crimes. So Aureliu Busuioc’s novels present an alternative means of narrative and description of the effects of traumatic experiences of totalitarian discourse.
