Till today, researches in the field didn’t allow the identification of a com-mon accepted theory of foreign policy, with its own object study, research me-thods and categorical apparatus. In literature of specialty several theories were crystallized. Depending on author, the notion of foreign policy acquires a diffe-rent meaning or a specific color. According to traditionalist current, the represe-ntatives of foreign policy of the state act as a whole, being determined by their history, because it couldn’t be quantified". Thus, for representatives of political realism current (H.Morgenthau, R.Aron, J.Kennan, P.Osgud, A.Wallferce) the foreign policy of the state is the centerpiece of the international system. Al-though it failed to draw attention to the complex and ambivalent nature of fo-reign policy, they show its connections with domestic policy and international life, with psychology and organization theory, with the economic and social structure, etc. This approach has provided political realism critics - followers of modernist theories - a certain ground of foreign policy research activities of sta-tes, focusing on some methods specific to sociology, psychology, economics, mathematics, anthropology, computer, etc. |
