Rezumat

Modern world realises increasingly the importance of international labour migration and its positive contribution to the development of “receiving” and “supplying” countries. In her article ‘Some Peculiarities of Legal Regulation of External Labour Migration in the Republic of Belarus at the Present Stage’ Larysa Vasilyeva co-nsiders modern situation with labor mobility in the Republic of Belarus; does the retrospective analysis of normative legal base development in this sphere, identifies specific features of such relations and produces recommendations on improving their management. In order to improve legal regulations in the area of external labour migrati-on in the Republic of Belarus in 2010 a new version of the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On external labour migration» was drafted. The Law regulates the procedures of job placement of foreigners in the Republic of Belarus. The Act clearly defines the range of people subject to this law. The Republic of Belarus has a licensing procedure which regulates the em-ployment of natural persons abroad. Legal entities and individual entreprene-urs involved in this kind of activity receive special permits (licenses) from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The Law clearly defines the grounds for refusal to issue or annulment of these permits.
