In this article, the author analyzes the existing connections between the philosophy, axiological landmarks and practical activity in politics, society, culture and
spirituality maintained by Vasile Goldiş. Goldiş’ philosophy on history, culture, civilization, the role of beliefs in human societies, and the role of value systems in the life of human communities had a guiding role for the 1918 Great Union mastermind in all of the great political and administrative decisions he made, but also in his scholarly activities as a writer or scientific researcher. The value system guiding human life, based on truth, justice, solidarity, respect for human and ethnic rights, is assumed by this original scholar and philosopher from a broad
perspective on the philosophy of history and culture, thus excluding suppositions according to which his view on the future of state, international institutions and humanity was utopian. |
