The spectrophotometric determination of distribution coefficient of propiconazole nitrate in the binary system octanol-water at different pH values of aqueous phase
In this paper is proposed and tested an UV spectrophotometric method for determination of constant distribution of propiconazole nitrate between an aqueous buffer phase with different pH value and a lipid phase(octanol). In the case of propiconazole nitrate incorporation in simple or multiple pharmaceutical emulsioned systems is needed to know the octanol/water partition coefficient of this substance because their liberation from this system is a result of the partitioning phenomena between aqueous and lipid phase. This method can be applied also for other active substances incorporated in various immiscible binary systems. |
