Rezumat | ||||||
This article defines the model of literary history in the view of Mihai Cimpoi. Following Harold Bloom’s example, everybody without exaggerating is making up “lists”. Manolescu’s list has inspired a thousand and one other lists. Each critic has his own list. The ordering principle of literary history has lost all its meaning, the hierarchy values were disrupted. Literary histories have lost organicity, which is the fundamental feature of George Călinescu’s History… An Open History of Romanian literature in Bessarabia by Mihai Cimpoi is marked by a dialogic model of its critical discourse. Literature is seen as a dialogue of values. History is built and re-designed as an internal intertextual struggle between the authors with their canonical predecessors. |
