The relationship between the language and culture, two semiotic systems are in continuous correlation, are observed especially at the level of phraseology because the units of this level contain in their inner form a system of images that reflect their stereotyped visions inherent to the given linguistic community and determine the cultural connotation of these linguistic signs. The cultural component of the idioms being the main component of the phraseological meaning allows the units of the phraseological, fund to vehiculate through their form the information referring to the culture of the people: the value system, traditions, symbols, ideologies, a whole group of concepts that represents an important part of the cultural patrimony of the linguistic community. Thus, the lexical system and, especially, the phraseological one, is a mirror in which the people’s spirit is reflected, its specificity and creativity, that permits us to support the linguist visions who consider the phraseological fund as the verbal carrier being the most essential of the culture.

Raportul dintre limbă şi cultură, două sisteme semiotice în corelaţie permanentă, se observă, în deosebi, la nivelul frazeologic, deoarece, unităţile acestui nivel conţin în forma lor internă un sistem de imagini ce reflectă viziunile stereotipe proprii comunităţii lingvistice date şi determină conotaţia culturală a acestor semne lingvistice. Componenta culturală a frazeologismelor, fiind o componentă de bază a sensului frazeologic, permite unităţilor fondului frazeologic să vehiculeze prin intermediul formei lor informaţia privind cultura poporului: sistemul de valori, tradiţii, simboluri, ideologii – un întreg ansamblu de concepte care reprezintă o parte importantă a patrimoniului cultural al comunităţii lingvistice. Astfel, sistemul lexical şi, în deosebi, cel frazeologic este o oglindă în care se reflectă spiritul poporului, specificul său şi creativitate sa, ceea ce ne permite să susţinem viziunile lingviştilor care consideră fondul frazeologice drept purtătorul verbal cel mai substanţial al culturii.
