I think this title is an award for an enthusiastic historian, who chose the path of building the present and the future, rather than investigating the past. In my view, Poland's road to the European Union is an important example for the people from this part of Europe, which was hit in a special way by the history,through the experience of those two totalitarian regimes. It is an important road for all those, who have followed the path from totalitarianism to freedom. Poland’s Wind of freedom and the effectiveness of Polish solidarity have strengthened the democratic aspirations of our neighbors. Here, in the Republic of Moldova you have already started to build your European future. You have a goal, a vision and friends, Poland being one of them. You have chosen a good path, you are surely going to win the wind-averse and the boat, called Republic of Moldova, will soon anchor in a safe harbor – in Europe.
