The current state of avifauna in the wet zone of the Talmazan Flats and the prognosis for its development. Because of unfavorable filling-up conditions, the Talmazan Flats water-marsh ecological systems became badly degraded. A tendency to the impoverishment of the local avifauna is observed. At present, 20-25 species from this ecological group are living constantly here. 27 of them are under national
and international protection. The state of the existing ecological systems is elucidated and two probable scenarios of their development are described. |
