Rezumat

The natural monument “Suta de Movile” as an exovolcanic phenomenon. This monument contains about 3,500 small conic hills in the Prut River valley, which were considered to be a result of the water and wind erosion of quaternary alluvial clay deposits. The analysis of available geological data proved that these hills have recently appeared as a result of the eruptions of muddy volcanoes along a deep regional fault and are of the same origin as gas and oil accumulations and mineral underground water in the Prut River valley.
