The distribution of the snake population in any biotope is irregular and depends on the season of the year, on food resources, shelter, favorable places for hibernation and reproduction. All these factors influence the number of specimens and the localization of their seasonal aggregations, the migration character and the size of an individual plot. The majority of colonies occupy southern and southwestern slopes.
