The numerical cartographic modeling of Moldovan scientific reserves. The essence and importance of the geographical information systems (GIS) for scientific investigations and a good management of natural reserves are expounded. The use of relevant methods is demonstrated by the example of the Iagorlik Scientific Reserve. The input information, comprising geographic and geologic data, water and vegetable resources and anthropogenic objects on the adjacent territory, is divided
in 13 layers, which are presented in the form of graphic primitives. |
