Hungarian issue played an important role in Habsburg Monarchy. After Austro-Hungarian Empire had been created in 1867, the Slovaks were ruled by the Hungarians. The aim of below article is to show how the relations of both nations were shaped, starting from late 19th century till the World War I. It focuses especially on the events that caused that up till now the Slovaks and the Hungarians find it hard to trust each other. |
