The miniature roses multiply trough different ways: division of the bus, grafting, cutting,
microcloning. Success of a graft union depends on the establishment of a callus bridge between the cut
surfaces of scion and stock, and the subsequent establishment of a functioning vascular cylinder connecting
scion and stock. Tissue culture of miniature roses is a technique propagation widely used in modern
fl oriculture, because of it allows production of many clonal plants from relatively little starting material. In
vitro clonal propagation of roses is of great commercial value. Using this technigue, many pathogen-free
rose plants can be produced. This paper reports the effects of different media suplemented with selected
levels of auxin and cytokinin on shoot multiplication. Miniature roses are propagated by simple plant tissue
culture. |
