The process of elaboration of the coats of arms and the flags of academic institutes is continuing. After the others Institutes, two institutes of the Division of Humanities and Arts Sciences approved
their symbols in 2008.The principal emblem of the symbols of the
Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science, created by the author, Svetlana Ciumac, and the painter Vitalie Ichim, is the image of the olive tree of Greek goddess Athena, which is the symbol of philosophical wisdom and of capacity to peaceable organization of the ideal state. The olive tree grows out of a heraldic fortress, the mark of the political science and of the ideal state. The principal emblem of the symbols of Institute of Philology, created by Aurelia Hanganu, the author, and the painter Vitalie Ichim, is the image of Callioppe – the Greek muse of epic poetry and elocution. In the flag of that Institute we also find a crown of willow’s branches, a Rumanian romantic
literature’s tree-symbol. |
