The article examines the problems of collecting, transporting and storing the garbage from Chisinau Municipality onto the polygon of Ţânţăreni commune, Anenii Noi district. The “landscape” of the garbage from the recreational areas of Chisinau Municipality is exposed, the efforts of sanitation of these spaces, as well as various proposals of the candidates for the post of general Mayor of the Capital in the electoral campaign of 2015, initiatives selected from the propaganda materials, thrown … in the garbage. The issue of garbage collection and storage has become a global issue. We note with regret that there are too few studies on the garbage problem in the national historiography, and in the Republic of Moldova such studies are completely lacking. Despite this situation, it is important to address the issue of garbage from a historical and political point of view at least.
