Rezumat

One of the most preferable subject of the contemporary political speech is – the identity. Mass-media dispose of a special potential in capitalization of the national phenomenon. The author of the present article puts forward his reflections toward the role and the place of the mass-media communication in national identity affirmation. Mass-media as the fourth power in a state keep all the social power instruments. From this perspective, it would be very adecuqate to examine not only the things the power gets through the press support, but also what it looses through it. How can we improve the prioperties and the qualities of mass-media functioning in order to promote them and to consolidate the national identity!? The crossing zone of the both, the activities of the political power and the media communication is focused on the national identity values and instruments, which form the central field as well as for the decisions of the power factors, of the civil society institutions efforts, as for the editorial policy and of the media influence resourses. This gravity field, which is called by the author “identity field” must focus upon all the occupations of the political actors, of the media institutions, of the agents of the civil sector in order to organize an intire national identity. We have to make a precise conclusion: the author does not refer to a field separation but to a responsibility’ coordination. While its evolution from totalitarianism to democracy the Republic of Moldova can rely on the european support, but the success, in the author’s vision, depends, firstly on the intrenal mobilization. The importance reability of the personal effort in the tranzition success done by the Zb.Brzezinski, for the Republic of Moldova has a priceless actuality. The internal mobilization cannot be done without purifying the medium and the social relations from the values and principles which were abusively imposed by the totalitarian regimes, withou any cultivation and promovation of some democratic, general-human values and principles, inclusively the interethnical relations, in the field of the national phenomenon Mass-media have become somehow broadcasters of the cultural achievements and instruments of influence upon the society in order to accept or to deny certain values and cultural building models, those of the national phenomenon field included. But the mass-media which take actively part to the formation of these values have become the catalyst member of the relation building among the dwelling ethnics in order to redefine the national identity.
