For occurrence of crises in the post Soviet Moldavian society there were numerous and various preconditions. But in itself presence of preconditions did not mean inevitability and compulsion of occurrence of direct confrontation. For example, the disputed situation which took place in Gagauz region for a long time, could and stay further as though in the “muffled” condition, slow “to decay”, not developing into the open conflict. That the similar situation “has blown up” and process of escalation has begun, are necessary, at least two more conditions: first, presence of subjects of the conflict (disputed groups and persons); secondly, the certain occasion, that is some kind of “detonator” of the conflict. Unsuccessful attempt of updating of the former allied state, undertaken in second half 80th years, promoted demothballing for a long time ripened in bowels of a society of versatile contradictions and to “refreezing” of the crisis phenomena muffled before. But it would be wrong to do a conclusion that the responsibility for occurrence of conflicts in former Soviet republics is born only with local elites. At the same time it is obvious, that by virtue of the position and specific interests ruling elites are inclined to use ethnic values as especially utilitarian means in struggle against the opponents. Thus quite often approach to achievements of national culture and a science with primitive - cynical positions, considering them only as means of a
manipulation public consciousness. |
