The promotion and protection of the rights of the child is regulated both at the international level and at the national level, being a matter of major interest. The concern for this matter is directly reflected in the existing legislative volume. The legislation of the Republic of Moldova contains general regulations on the protection of the rights of the child (Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, Family Code, Law on the Rights of the Child), as well as specific regulations on child protection and social services, addressed to them. These regulations establish the legal status of the child as an independent subject, provide for the insurance of his physical and spiritual health, establish the social protection of children, who are deprived of their family environment or are in particularly difficult circumstances, etc. The most important actors in the life of any child are often, or they should be in most cases, the parents. But there are cases when parents can often become a source of violence, abuse, discrimination and exploitation, or children are orphans, and then children need alternative protection, provided by law. This is also the subject of this research. |
