Rezumat | ||||||
Writer Adrian Paunescu is an unrepeatable name, who has his special niche in the library of the Romanian literature. In the years of totalitarianism, he succeeded, according to Eugen Simion, “to mobilize the masses”, especially the new generation, for the perception of “the young poetry and music”, filling up the Romanian stadiums, a reality with no resemblance on the planetary scale…”. By his actions, he did an enormous service to the Romanian people: he has freed the spirits, especially the young people; he has “cured” their wooden language taught in schools and heard on the radio, offering them a literary Romanian language; he has launched and re-launched on the Romanian musical scene dozens of artists. The Flacara circle was also watched by the Romanians from the right side of Prut river; thus the poet has contributed enormously to the national revival of Basarabia. The academician Mihai Cimpoi noticed that in the works of poet Adrian Paunescu, “Basarabia` s drama, just like in Mateevici` s works, just like in interwar and postwar (Grigore Vieru, Nicolae Dabija, Arcadie Suceveanu) Bessarabia poets` works (…), is put under the tragic
sign of Christ crucifixion…” |
