The European Union is committed to upholding democracy and human rights in its external relations, in accordance with the principles of liberty, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the rule of law. The objectives to be achieved in this article are: to identify the competences of the EU institutions and bodies in the field of human rights, to characterize the EU's regional and global human rights protection instruments; to present the report on human rights in the Republic of Moldova prepared by the EU delegation. The research methodology is based on empirical analysis, documentation and case study. Due to the Covid-19 human rights pandemic, there have been some setbacks, which have deepened inequalities and increased pressure on vulnerable people. |
