Rezumat

The article provides an analysis of the organizational culture of modern school and to what extend the problem is exampled in psychological literature. The interest of psychology to management and organizational culture is conditioned by the humanistic and democratic tendencies attested in organizations activity and the necessity to adopt new mechanisms of functioning. The organizational culture in educational sector is least investigated. The existing researches concern exclusively the management of the pedagogical staff. It is proposed regarding the educational institution, as a specific organization, that certain specific facts related to formation of the school organizational culture and the role of management shall be subjected to a psychological analysis. A number of conclusions are presented in the article. We consider that in conditions of current democratic reforms the management of school shall be based on the knowledge of its peculiarities and application of organizational-cultural approach. The article underlines the necessity of a new humanistic ideology, the culture of a reformed school where the school and society, the group and personality interests are interdependent and condition each other. The organizational culture shall facilitate dealing with such problems as professional burnout, organizational stress, adaptability of pedagogical staff, personnel turnover and deficit etc.
