Autism has become a serious problem for modern health care, as the prevalence of children with autism is growing both worldwide and in the Republic of Moldova. At the end of 2019 in the Republic of Moldova, 663 children have been diagnosed with autism. Correct diagnosis and the initiation of early treatment are the basis of modern med-icine, which can improve the quality life of children with autism. Material and methods. 16 children diagnosed with childhood autism were evaluated. In order to establish the dynamics of evolution in children with childhood autism after the application of ABA therapy, we created a scale of comparative assessment of the level of behavioral, emo-tional, relational and communicative development. We made the observation daily for 6 months, based on this scale, completing the personal register. Results. The children were evaluated according to 6 compartments: communication, vocabulary, cognition, relationship, behavior and movement. In the behavior of the cognitive criterion of memory, we see that after 6 months of ABA therapy, changes occur in 10 children. The development of attention also has a positive evolution, from 16 children, changes were observed in 9 children. However, in the first stage there remains a child who does not register changes in either attention, he is completely attic about what is happening around him. After 6 months of ABA therapy, the development of willpower is observed in 9 children. There is very minimal progress in the communication department, one child has managed to learn the key words in conversation and only one child has started using sentences in communication. Vocabulary improvements were observed in 31.25% of children. After 6 months of treatment, there are positive results in the relationship department, no hysterical, isolating behavior, but the absence of eye contact and facial expression persists. Walking on tiptoe is observed in 5 children, the waving of the arm in 3 children and in 1 child noticed the arrangement of toys in a row. After ABA therapy, 6 of 9 children with repetitive, stereotypical movement are no longer observed. Against the background of ABA therapy for 6 months, aggression attacks also became less frequent and even disappeared. Conclusions. Following the data obtained, positive changes were found in all compartments with some reserves. However, the percentage of quality in each department is different, the best results are observed in the department of cognition and movement, more modest results are record-ed in the department of attitudes and behavior, and with more pronounced shortcomings, some children show signs of communication. |
