The economic development of human society followed a new path when it provoked discussions about well-being and life satisfaction. In the research carried out by local and international scientists, the connection between the well-being of the population or the "state of the nation" and the quality of life appears again, which constituted a step forward in the direction of public health research. The finding that economic progress does not automatically lead to general well-being and the elimination of poverty, but become one of the reasons that led to the emergence of a research direction, namely, the research of the concept of public health. The authors of this paper researched several opinions on the global level of health and through the lens of the theory of the human factor in society, they came to the conclusion that it deserves to be recognized as a social-economic category, because it contributes to the development of the human factor and ensures the achievement of its performances by satisfying human needs. According to European public health policies, the modern view of public health is complemented by several other dimensions - emotional, intellectual and spiritual, each of which contributes to the growth of a person's well-being, which confirms his socio-economic character. In the paper, economic analyzes of global statistical information on the state of satisfaction of some countries with health are carried out, through the Global Health Index and the Health Security Index. Both complement each other in that the first – only assesses the state of health in certain periods; the second - allows the assessment of the health status in the country in times of crisis.
