The concept of non-discrimination and equal opportunity are rooted in universal
principles of human rights, fundamental freedoms and equality. These concepts are part of the international community’s key principles and are used in development of international instruments to defense of human rights. For civil and political society of the Republic of Moldova the concept of nondiscrimination is new. Majority of political actors, citizens make a link between this principle with the Plan of Visa Liberalization with European Union, more over they consider the discrimination as “European fancy”, never the less many examples of discrimination are frequently recorded and many categories of population are discriminated in various areas. The Laws of preventing and combating against discrimination divided the civil society
on the numerous points of view, ones of them homophobic, islamophobic, also
hate speeches. |
