The article presents an analysis of different theoretical-methodological approaches
of the concept of social stratification. Great consideration is given to the criteria of measurement of the social layers, factors causing social inequity. The phenomenon of poverty is analysed from the point of view of the social exclusion, the lack of opportunities of participation in an economic, social, cultural and political activity of their society/ community. The sociological research results reveal the population insight on the evolution of the standard of living of the last ten years through the prism of auto evaluation of the family income, the level of satisfaction with their own living. |
