e concept of good governance is a term increasingly recognized as a key factor in the development of local communities. Good governance is to ensure qualitative, coherent, clear, accessible legislation. At the same time, good governance means qualitative public services. It also involves ecient public management, eciency and eectiveness, quality sta, responsibility and control. Good open and transparent local government is a challenge to establish functional mechanisms for all citizens to participate in decision-making and to be consulted and involved in the local government process as well as respect for the fundamental rights of the people. Eective governance requires the involvement of all state and non-state actors, capable of developing and implementing local public policies necessary for sustainable development. In this context, it is important to study the strategies and tools of good governance at the local level, the existing practices to ensure the sustainable development of communities. is article reveals the practical aspects of good governance at the local level, based on the example of the LPA in Iezarenii Vechi, Singerei district. We have identied the main problems, the tools available for good governance, but also the prospects for improving the LPA activity in Iezarenii Vechi commune.
