Rezumat

For a mathematical model with ve compartments suitable to the features of a certain type of epidemic transmission we discuss the identi cation of some system parameters by means of minimization problems for functionals involving available measurements for observable compartments. The minimization problems are treated by an optimal control technique with state constraints imposed by realistic considerations.
