Methods of analgesia in dentistry
Pain is an experience that everybody lives more or less frequently, with greater or lesser
intensity. A solitary therapy is not 100% sufficient in dental practice, only a combination of
several positive factors have a cumulative effect: mental preparation, pharmaco-therapy sedation
and regional anesthesia. In the treatment of caries and pulpitis, doctors often practice anesthesia
of the intervention area, but this invasive method sometimes leads to accidents and
complications both local and general. The main effect of any anesthesia is analgesia, an effect
which in some cases can´t be reached because of the particularities of the patient or the doctor's
lack of experience of anesthesia. For painless treatment it is required to diversify the range of
dishes and to use inhaled analgesia without invasive techniques as a method of choice for the
practicing physician. |
