Rezumat

This study, with a view to emphasize the characteristics of the totalitarian communistic system in the Soviet Moldova, had as its starting point the definition of the totalitarianism as a form of government and organisation the society, where the state controls all the aspects of the public and private life. The study includes also some common signs of the communist, nazi and fascist totalitarianism, as well as the periods and the caracteristic features of the sovietic totalitarianism. There have been identified six aspects of the totalitarian communistic system in Soviet Moldova: a) the communism in Basarabia as a result of the „export of revolution”; b) RASSM as a space of experimental communism; c) the sovietisation and communisation of Basarabia through its „union” with the RASSM; d) the Communist Party of Moldova as an instrument of denationalisation and russifi cation of the population; e) the Communist Party of Moldova as an instrument of doctrinisation of the population; f) the Communist Party of Moldova as a synonym of anti-christianity.The Soviet occupation in Basarabia wasn’t just a military, political and economical one, but also a cultural occupation; the values of the national culture had to endure an oppresive treatment and have been replaced with other values of external – sovietic and communist origin. The fact, that the submissive instrument of all this identity changes of the RSSM population was the Communist Party, remains unquestionable.
