The difficult socio-economic situation of the Republic of Moldova, in general, and the Northern Development Region, in particular, has a negative impact on the evolution of the geodemographic situation. Most demographic indicators show a significant decline, exceeding the optimal limit accepted by the international community. The aim of this study is to assess the nature of the geodemographic problems of human habitats in theNorthern Development Region in the current context of implementing the regional development policy, as well as to put forward proposals regarding the measures needed to restore the geodemographic situation. |
