The article focuses on the problem of Oblomovism, a notion circulated through the novel of the same name by the Russian writer I. Goncearov, in the nineteenth century, and which has become recurrent today. The origin of oblomovsm is analyzed from a social-historical point of view, as well as from an anthropological point of view, following the itinerary traveled both in the Russian and in the Western context.
