In a world of hostilities and power politics it is impossible not to focus the attention on the problems related to armed conflicts and their resolution. The present paper represents a study concerning the notion of the armed conflict and the war as its main form of manifestation. At the beginning the relations between states took two basic forms: cooperation and confrontation. Here you can find information concerning the notions of conflict, state of conflict, and the notion of war. The conflict can’t be considered a new phenomenon, neither on a theoretical – conceptual level nor on the practical one. We can say for sure that this theme was broadly investigated by scientist during centuries and that’s why we can present the evolution of this concepts and make an analysis concerning their impact on all the life spheres.
